Important notice. Please read this risk disclaimer carefully before using the Vektes Protocol or acquiring $VEK tokens.
1. Not Financial Advice
Nothing on vektes.com, app.vektes.com, or any associated materials constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. The information provided is for general informational purposes only. You should consult with qualified professionals before making any financial decisions.
2. Utility Token — Not a Security
$VEK is a utility token designed and used exclusively for paying protocol service fees on the Vektes Protocol. It is not:
- A security, investment contract, or financial instrument
- An equity share, bond, or debt obligation
- A representation of ownership in any entity
- A guarantee or promise of future value or returns
The fee-burning mechanism is a protocol-level supply management parameter, not a profit distribution mechanism.
3. No Guarantee of Value
The market price of $VEK is determined solely by supply and demand on decentralized exchanges. There is no guarantee that $VEK will maintain any particular value. You may lose some or all of the value of any $VEK you acquire.
4. Smart Contract Risk
Although the Vektes Protocol has been audited by CertiK, no audit can guarantee the absence of vulnerabilities. Smart contracts may contain undiscovered bugs that could result in loss of funds. Use the Protocol at your own risk.
5. Regulatory Risk
Cryptocurrency regulation is evolving rapidly across jurisdictions. Future regulatory actions may affect:
- The legality of using the Protocol in your jurisdiction
- The classification or status of $VEK
- Your ability to transfer or use digital assets
You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all laws applicable to your use of the Protocol.
6. Irrevocability Risk
Transfers on the Vektes Protocol are irrevocable by the sender once submitted. Sending funds to an incorrect address, or with incorrect parameters, may result in permanent, unrecoverable loss.
7. No Deposit Insurance
Funds held within the Vektes Protocol smart contracts are not covered by any government deposit insurance program (FDIC, SIPC, or equivalent). There is no safety net for losses.
8. Technology Risk
Risks include but are not limited to:
- Ethereum network failures or congestion
- Oracle malfunctions affecting fee calculations
- Private key loss or compromise
- Wallet software vulnerabilities
- Bridge exploits (if using L2 functionality)
9. Liquidity Risk
$VEK may have limited liquidity on secondary markets. You may not be able to sell or exchange $VEK at a desired price, or at all.
10. Acknowledgment
By using the Vektes Protocol or acquiring $VEK, you acknowledge that:
- You have read and understood these risks
- You accept full responsibility for your decisions
- You have the financial capacity to bear potential losses
- You are not relying on any person or entity for investment advice
- You understand that past performance does not guarantee future results
